Wish it would work, even once...

Looks like it would be a great game, but unfortunately I do not know 1st hand since it won’t start.
I have a late 2013 MacBook pro with all the requirements yet when I click Play at the opening screen all it says is loading.
Same symptoms as ElijahApp below…
